only possible in california..
...

for a variety of reasons. and yes, the weather amongst them. The thought of doing the same in either Walter or Wilson just makes all my extremities turn black. The thought of doing this in Central Library back in NUS? priceless. (i'd need serious help with the bail.)

Eh, we are conservative in NUS ok! Even if the police doesn't catch you on time, you will have 1000 muggers complaining that you are disturbing their studying peace. Headlines: Streaking Students Mugged by Muggers.

Oh, they always do. Look up and look accusingly at you. The look that says: "If I don't get my A+, you shall have to pay for it with your life."

sorry hor, but my england no good -- what is quartile ah? if NUS is in top quartile - how big is the tile?

and uh, how does one "evade" hiccups during CORS? sorry ah, my england no good, dunch understand.

(good grief, i'm evil.)

Evade? Evade dio mah! They call it a Freudian slip. It is an administrative evasion of the real problems. Heard that the CORS system itself was a way of evading some problems they don't know how to prevent or solve.

I also dunch know how big the tile, but they say world-class means world class lah. Dunch ask so many question. Wait they say "You cannot come here because: You ask too many questions."

Did I tell you how they are "evading" to problem with the lack of computers in the Central Library cluster?

Now there is a very clever booking system that lets you book the computer for a long one hour (compete with a to-the-second countdown pop-up). So when there are computers available, you go and book one computer before you can log in. If there are no computers available, I'm not too sure... Sure helps by deterring people from using.

oooOooh! we have that too! would that make us a world-crass uni? although, it does work pretty well here actually. not that many advance bookings, but when there *are* bookings and the uh, bookies :P turn up, people get out of the way pretty efficiently. no fuss, no tears as far as i can tell.

I'm not sure if they even have advance bookings here. Looks to me like they don't... And I thought they should simply allow people to log in when the com is not booked?

They don't what?

Advance bookings? I'm not too sure. I don't remember being prompted to state a time when I book, so...

They don't let people log in even when 90% (I would say 100%) of the computers are not in use. I tried to log in, but had to book for a computer before I log in. And I think I will time out automatically even when no one has booked the computer. But that's just my understanding...
